Opening Sequence: Resident Evil The Extinction

Resident evil the extinction is a  2007 science fiction action horror film also categorized as a doomsday and zombie film, and is the third installment in the series of film adaptations based on the Capcom survival horror series Resident Evil. The films starts showing a face of alice  (Milla Jovovich) waking at the mansion, in a scene that is almost identical to the one in Resident Evil. Alice moves through obstacles including the laser room seen in the first film, though she is eventually killed by an Umbrella weapons system. Her dead body is taken by three scientists, including Dr. Isaacs (Iain Glen), and dumped into a pit outside the Umbrella facility. The pit is shown to be filled with numerous Alice Clones. The camera zooms out from the facilities main entrance (the remaining facility being underground) and shows hundreds of zombies trying to enter the facility, which is surrounded by barbed wire fence.

In the movie alice uses different types of weapons such as handguns/Shotguns/Machine guns/Knives/Flame thrower/Crossbow/Dynamite: Carried and/or used to wound or kill zombies and humans and/or cause property damage. See "Violence" for details.
The costume worn by Alice (Milla Jovovich) in the 2007 action horror film Resident Evil: Extinction. This style of costume can be seen throughout the film worn by the lonely survivor of the T-Virus. The costume consists of a pair of tan suede lace up shorts (labelled ‘Alice’), a brown sleeveless shirt with popper buttons which is attached to a pair of brown leggings, a beige vest, a pair of brown fingerless gloves, pair of brown leather boots and the canvas webbing and holsters seen around the actresses waist and attached to her thighs (labelled ‘Alice Stunt’ and ‘Alice Milla’), included is the digital watch which can be seen hanging from the belt in the film. Also included are a flowered scarf and the plastic wire bracelet given to her by K-Mart (Spencer Locke) when they first meet and K-mart explains her name.

The change in scenery of Resident Evil: Extinction is refreshing and different, with most of the film taking place out west in the desert. Being surrounded by zombies in a desolate sandy wasteland under the bright sun is a new terror that works surprisingly well. This film is a shocking contrast to prior zombie films  it’s more reminiscent of “The Road Warrior than Dawn of the Dead. Mulcahy knows how to scare his audience in this new environment, whether investigating abandoned gas stations and motels or having virus-infected birds circling overhead.

RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION comes an aggressively mixed Dolby Digital 5.1 channel soundtrack. All of the discrete channels are fully engaged during the numerous action sequences. The bass channel is deep and ratchets up the action. In the movie there were quite alot of camera angles used. The Director used angles like high angle shot, two shot, low angle shots. The director used a lot of angles some were used to make the movie more scraier.

The opening sequence introduced us to the because if someone is watching the movies for the first time they wouldnt know what its all about,so the director used "bloody zombies".

Frank Miller's Sin City; Opening Title Sequence

I like this title sequence because it is quite easy to know and capture where it was set, what the whole story is about, unlike the James bond Opening sequence that was shot in London, you see him jumping everywhere and things falling apart, movies like that are complicated and you just dont know what is going on and it suddenly makes your mind have to start working hard to be able to understand the movie. I don't really like movies where you have to use your brains to watch, i like watching something that is bang to the point .At the start of the Sequence you see New York skyscrappers, the audience suddenly know where the movie set, the screen suddenly goes into birdseye view, of the building and then the title of the movie spells out , with cast names , and the you get cartoon charaters.
