Evaluation How does your media product represent particular social group? My media product shows a child who is left home alone and then things get out of hand as we see him killed on the floor. Now nobody knows what has happened to him or who did that to him, whether it was his mother or father that did it or, an intruder. This creates tension and keeps the audience hooked into it. Even though the movie is of a child i don't think it would be appropraite for children to see the movie so it could be rated a 12 or 15. What kind of Media Institution might distribute your media product? My movie might be classified as a horror, because of the blood we see at the end. The could be viewed by different cinemas around the UK. Who would be the audience for your media product? My movie is targeted to teenagers from the age of 12 onwards. The reason why this movie should be classified as a 12A is because of the blood we see at the end and it has a bit of spooky side to it which wouldn't be appropraite for children to view it as they could have nighmares at night. Target Audience Profile Daniel Mibuulo is 16 year old teenager and studies A level maths, physics, biology and ICT at a sixthform college in London, Blackheath. Daniel Mibuulo Daniel enjoys watching Television, playing football and hanging around with friends. Daniels life ambition is to be a pilot, and he’s planning on going University after his courses at Blackheath Bluecoat School. Daniel doesn’t discriminate people with different culture, beliefs, values and their colour, he treats all people the same. Daniel dreams in future he will have a good job, nice kids, a wife and a nice home. How do you attract/address your audience? I attracted my target audiesnce by how the movie started. You couldn't see the main character, so there was a bit of tension rising at that point, and then the non-diegetic sound i had made the movie more interesting. If a person that likes horror or spooky films hear the sort of sound i had it would automatically hook them in. I have learnt a lot about technologies through the process of shooting my movie.I used the internet to help me with my project, also used Adobe Photoshop 4 to edit my production logo. I have learnt that if you want your work to look clear and High Quality you need to use a camera with more mega pixels, less pixels result to less quality movie. I have learnt the different types of camera angles. Adobe Photoshop 4 Adobe Photoshop helped me alot during my project, the only option i had when i was making my production logo was to use Photoshop because its easier to edit pictures on, and it isn't complicated as other photo editors. Photoshop is very easy to manipulate images on and also its professional than using Microsoft photo editor. Microsoft Movie Maker Microsoft Movie Maker was one of the main tools i used and it was needed to be able to join my bits of my movie together. I used Microsoft Movie Maker to also add sound into my movie and it worked perfect for me, i had some problems with it at start but then later on it was alright. Xillisoft movie maker Xilisoft Movie Maker helped me alot as i was able to edit the sound, edit my movie title and also add abit of animation to it. I also used Sony vegas pro 11.1 to add all the bits of my movie together, but in the process of doing that i ended up fnding it hard to upload pictures and other bits of my movie so i then had to transfer it all onto windows movie maker, which finally allowed me to finalize my movie. Over the shoulder shot Over the shoulder shot Low-angle shot High angle shot Point of view shot Close up shot Looking back at your preliminary task, what have you learnt in the progression from it to full product? Looking back at my preliminary exercise i think i have improved a lot. I didn't have sound over my preliminary exercise but this time i have come up with different ideas and added it into my movie and i really think i have improved. I
